how does a carb from a 5 horse briggs n stratton work as far as sucking fuel?
we took the motor off of a tiller and put it on a bike but the carb that was on it wouldnt get fuel. any idea why?
a briggs and stratton has its own fuel tank and a carb which doesn't "suck fuel" it works on a gravity feed, ie: the tank is higher than the carb fuel bowl so the fuel feeds by gravity. if when u put it on the bike, the tank is now angled to the point that where the fuel line comes out of it is in essense "lower" than the fuel bowl, gravity fails and the carb will get no fuel.
there is no fuel pump on a briggs.
